Inserting
a Hit Counter in Front Page |
Introduction
Hit Counters are a simple way to track how many times a web
page has been viewed. Microsoft FrontPage has a FrontPage
Component which allows you to easily enter a hit counter
into your web site without any programming or advanced
setup.
Insert a Hit Counter
1. Position the mouse cursor to where you would like to
insert the hit counter.
2. Click the Insert menu and, point to Component, and select
Hit Counter... from the menu that appears.
3. Select the Hit Counter style you want to use.
4. If you want to fix your hit counter to a certain amount
of digits, check the "Fixed number of digits:" check box,
and enter the number of maximum digits you want the Hit
Counter to go to.
Tip: Once the Hit Counter goes to a higher number than what
you have set to fixed digits, the Hit Counter will
automatically restart to "0"
5. Click OK.
